12 är nog lite svårt att få ut egentligen men det är ju ingen vanlig stärkare så omöjligt är det nog inte. Gjordes väl cirka 1200 ex eller hur var det? Perfekt om man vill ha en helrörsmesa tycker jag. Den eller Buster.

Enligt Mesa själva är 400:an på 400w med 6550 rör och 400+ på 500w med 6L6 rör
"Bass 400? That is the original Bass 400 model - The "Plus" came later. The
Bass 400 is the one McCartney always used, although he did have a Plus model
too. Michael Anthony (Van Halen) was also a B400 user and I think he also
did an ad for us. The 400 had a Switchable 6 Band Graphic EQ (Later replaced
in the 400+ by a 7 band Graphic) and was rated at 400 Watts. Instead of a 12
x 6L6 tubes that you get in a 400+ (for 500 Watts), the 400 used 6550's.
I have an old owner's manual I can get sent to you - I will see if the
factory have any new ones as mine is a little tatty. If the customer doesn't
mind that then I can fax it over. Back then our manuals weren't as complete
as they are today; In fact all were simply done on an electric typewriter.
This one your man has is pretty early - #34. Very cool! Only 1200 were made
since the 400 was only out for a year before it was replaced by the 400+.
The first 400 would have been rolling off the line some time in August 1989,
so I would assume that the one your guy has was made around then. It was in
itself a replacement for the old D-180, and is a great amp for guys who are
into traditional tube tone. You can get it to growl very nicely and it's
very loud."
