"Bass 400? That is the original Bass 400 model - The "Plus" came later. The Bass 400 is the one McCartney always used, although he did have a Plus model too. Michael Anthony (Van Halen) was also a B400 user and I think he also did an ad for us. The 400 had a Switchable 6 Band Graphic EQ (Later replaced in the 400+ by a 7 band Graphic) and was rated at 400 Watts. Instead of a 12 x 6L6 tubes that you get in a 400+ (for 500 Watts), the 400 used 6550's.
This one is pretty early - #34. Very cool! Only 1200 were made
since the 400 was only out for a year before it was replaced by the 400+.
The first 400 would have been rolling off the line some time in August 1989, so I would assume that this one was made around then. It was in
itself a replacement for the old D-180, and is a great amp for guys who are into traditional tube tone. You can get it to growl very nicely and it's
very loud."

Jag är ute efter en mindre topp (lättare).
Intressanta byten är Tecamp, Genz-Benz, GK runt 400w (gärna i 4ohm) + pengar. Jag behöver 5000:- för att gå runt men jag öppen för förslag.
